Not all CF cards are born equal. Don't buy one that doesn't come with a lifetime replacement warranty. My personal advice is to stick to Sandisk or Kingston, but others have reported success with other brands. Avoid generic or no-name cards at all costs. As Richard said, don't pay extra for the high-speed, ultra, or whatever name they use to indicate that they're faster because the BP doesn't take advantage of the speed, but you may see situations where those cards are cheaper and if so, buy one--it will work, but it's just not worth paying extra. I use: http://www.DealRAM.com/ to track CF card prices. They don't sell cards, but they offer the best prices at any point in time (their bots are constantly checking the net for best prices) and they offer links to the online merchants whose prices they list. One of the very best sources for Sandisk cards is: http://www.ZipZoomFly.com/ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kent Keever" <kkeever9@xxxxxxx> To: "bookport" <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, September 21, 2006 4:53 PM Subject: [bookport] compact flash cards Hi, I recently got my bookport and subscribed to the list. I wish to get a new flash card. Do all type 1 compact flashcards work with the bookport? Thanks. Kent Keever
