Thanks, Larry.  But out of curiosity, can I play with the alarm function

The alarms do not yet work reliably.  That is why they are not yet
documented.

Well, don't ask me what I was doing wrong before.  I couldn't seem to
get it started the other day, but I just followed your directions and it
