This is very possible because I usually use bp when I can't sleep and when it says that the batteries are low, I still continue listen for some more time.

Then perhaps your batteries are too low before you replace them and that is why it's not keeping your place--I don't know.Pamela Rader, TECHNICAL SUPPORT American Printing House For The Blind 1839 Frankfort Ave. Louisville, KY 40206 PHONE: 1-800-223-1839, Ext. 307tataindi@xxxxxxxxxxxxx 10/12/07 11:38AM >>>I never changed the batteries while reading. As a matter of fact I often change the batteries sometime later when I get a chance and bp is off.----- Original Message ----- From: "PAMELA RADER" <PRADER@xxxxxxx>To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, October 12, 2007 11:27 AM Subject: [bookport] Re: battery replacementYes. If you take too long, then it'll revert back to the factory defaultsand you'll have to reset the time and such! As far as losing your place in the book, it's because you're changing the battery while reading. You want to do it in idle mode, so it's the last key stroke pressed before changing the battery. You have about 30 seconds. It should work if you hold down the d, e and f keys for a couple of seconds. The bookport will beep, and then it will remember whre you left off in your book. I know this works because I do it all the time, and have never lost my place in the book I was listening to. I hope this helps, and that you're having a great day! Missy
