Hi Speed and pitch control of audio files while playig them is a basic control which has been available for years on other mp3 players (like the Navigator and Sony notetakers). hard to understand why the makers of Bookport failed to include it in the current unit yet alone still not include it in the new one. I would not buy it without this. Presumably someone involved with the new Bookport is monitoring this list, it would be a help if they contributed. However, being able to change the speed on the fly is something they would like to include down the line. I have no idea how long it might be after the release before this feature is available.
