It's not. Apparently when it comes out, it will be thinner with a rechargeable battery. Their will be programming room for new features in the future. For now, if you use the transfer software, and choose send audio, If you uncheck the option to send as music, you can change the pitch, and most importantly, the pausing time between words and phrases. This gives you a great audio compression system. It works better than any other audio compression I have found. You also can create synthesized audio from text files, from with in the bookport software.
