Walt, glad it was helpful. Let me know how you like the sound of the px200. I would imagine they sound every bit as good as the px100 but I have never used them myself, so can't say that for sure. I'm thinking there will some difference in the sound due to the closed design, not necessarily worse, just different. Rick - Thanks for the info on the PX200 model, which I think I might prefer, as I do prefer the closed variety of headphones. I see from www.pricegrabber.com that one dealer has them for $39.99 plus $2 shipping, which is extremely comparable with the prices I got there yesterday for the PX100. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Rick Alfaro Sent: Saturday, November 24, 2007 4:13 PM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: Sennheiser headphones - what's the model number? Walt, They are the Sennheiser PX100. Someone had said that they were discontinued and replaced by the px200, but from what I have been able to research, this information is incorrect. The px100 are open air headphones while the px200 are closed. They both use a folding design. Bothe the px100 and px200 seem to be available on the net so it will depend on whether you prefer open air or closed design. Personally, I prefer the open air because I can listen just fine and still hear what is going on around me. Others may prefer more sound isolation and would go for the px200.
