I haven't upgraded mine. I don't see the need.

I think it's very accessible, and the best program out there like it. No, it's not free, and I do realize that this will blacklist it for some people, but it's more than worth the $35 or so, especially given that all updates are free. My BP is very happy with the MP3s I make using it.

It is relatively accessible. I use it.

I agree with Marvin regarding Easy CD-DA Extractor from www.poikosoft.com. It is the best CD Ripper / audio converter that I've used. One nice thing is that it allows ripping of an audio CD to one file, which is especially nice for audio books.
I have neither employed by poikosoft nor no I have any financial interest
in the company. Just a satisfied customer. I was leary about
recommending it as I am sighted and I don't know how accessible it
is. Perhaps Marvin could comment on this.
Here's the skinny on Easy CD-DA Extractor:
Rips Audio CD's: - Convert Audio files - Burn Audio CD's
Features: - High performance CD-ripping - Copies "Copy-Protected" CD's - Reads badly scratched CD's - Download disc data from the freedb - Advanced sound processing - Supports CD-Text - Supports ID3, ID3V2, and other format specific metadata
Converts audio file formats: - Convert audio files from a format to another: WAV, MP1, MP2, MP3, MP4, M4A, OGG, AAC APE, FLAC, MP+, MPP, SHN, AND WMA - Advanced sound processing - Supports ID3, ID3V2, and other format specific metadata
Creates Audio CD's: - Writes Audio CD's that are compatible with regular CD-players - Writes CD-Text - Supports buffer underrun prevention technologies.

Hello:
I recently tried unsuccessfully to send a commercial audiobook that is on
a cd to my Book Port. it seemed to refuse to send the files. I am
interested in knowing what I can do to correct this problem. The
audiobook appears to be wav files but I am wondering if they may have some
kind of restriction on them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
