Another option might be to let Windows do a DiskCheck on the drive
associated with Book Port and fix anything that's wrong. More to the point,
the transfer software has a "fix file system" option. Click on "Options,"
and you'll find it on the "advanced" tab. That way, you wouldn't have to
sacrifice your good files. That can be horrendous if you've spent half a
day loading up a couple of gigs with hand-picked files.

manual
I got that message once, too. I don't knowwhy, but reformatting the card fixed it. If you don't want to do that, you might try deleting the manual and letting it replace itself.

Subject: [bookport] Error message when trying to read Bookport Help manual
Hi all,
This morning, when pressed Help on my Bookport, I got the following
message, repeated over and over ad infinitum - can only stop it by pulling the
batteries:
Offset error buffer overflow - moving on
Same thing happens if I try to read the Bookport manual file. Everything else works fine. What's going on? Thanks, Dan
