When I was in college I had to deal with reel-to-reel tapes, the cassette
was just making its appearance at RFB as I was leaving.  Now talk about a
pain, those tapes were a pain, especially if they got tangled.

   I depend less every day on the archaic cassette. I do however remember
when we first were given them and, at that time we thought, what a break
thru.
   If you really want to become cassette free you might consider purchasing
a plex talk p t r. I bought one about a year ago and love it.
