the 512 seems like plenty of room to me. I suppose if you were going to be away from your computer for a month you might need more, but other people think more is needed. 512mb will hold about 5,000 braille volumes, or maybe 400 hours of mp3 reading audio, or 7 hours of music. So depends on what you want to listen to I guess.
