Hi Rob and Jan,

I should clarify that these recipes  are referring to spraying  the food and
not the fryer itself.

I just buy non aerosol spray cans of olive oil or avocado oil and substitute
that or I use coconut oil. I hate those cooking sprays. They ruin the
surfaces of things.

Subject: [blindcooks] air fryers

Hi List,

I have had my 4.5 quart chefman air fryer for a few weeks now.

I have cooked many things in it to date.

Quite often, when I do a search for "air fryer recipes",  the directions
will often say;

"spray with nonstick cooking spray."

Non-stick cooking spray comes in aerosol cans which I refuse to buy.

Why is this non stic pollutant  so often suggested?

Thanks,

Mont
