Looks like our questions have been answered. I appreciate finally
learning about Bob's condition...not about the condition, but the news
about his situation. I also was not certain when Bob last posted on
the list, but it did not sound hopeful.
As for the lists, I will stay with only two, Blind Democracy and WCB.
I joined ACB Chat List at Bob's urging. He said traffic on the list
had fallen off and maybe I could help stir things up. Maybe I overdid
it!
It's been a good, worthwhile exercise for me, but I sometimes neglect
my other commitments.
I think Facebook has taken many of our old list members away. Cathy
finally broke down and joined Facebook, so she could enjoy all the
photos of our grand and great grand children. Lots of old friends
from WCB have contacted Cathy...which is another good reason for me to
stay clear of it.

Last evening a notice was posted by Deb Lewis announcing the immediate
closure of the ACB Chat List.
No real explanation other than a rambling note telling us that the ACB
could, from time to time consolidates lists, and suggesting we go to the ACB
web page for other lists. Too bad, since the chat list was at least
discussing issues that impact the lives of blind Americans.
