Hi Hugh,
A footer is text at the bottom of messages. Many lists include one containing
information about the group, such as how to unsubscribe. It's supposed to
appear at the bottom of all messages sent to the list. Apparently this list is
supposed to have one, but it's only showing up on some people's messages.
Maybe it has to do with the email clients people are using? I'm using Mac Mail.
