Hello, Lori, yes, it's neat to know that there is one more book in the collection for all the members to read at any time because you worked to make it happen. I did have a small library in the elementary school I attended but not middle or high school. I did my library stuff through the mail and still to this eay get excited about the mail and love to hold an actual book in my hand, but I've got a braillenote, and with the advent of digital technology, we'll all be reading daisi stuff before long as well, so this will pave a way for lots of fascinating reading material of all kinds to be available for us to be on an equal plain and be able to discuss books with others. By the way, I'm a cat lover too and have two of my own. Their names are Willie and Prissy. Willie's a tabby and Prissy's a calico. They are both unique and I love them both. Have a blessed day. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lori Castner" <loralee.castner@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi, Jamie,

Isn't it neat to get that first email indicating that the book you validated has been added to the collection. An administrator actually looks at the file you uploaded and could (although I don't know if they do) compare it to the submittor's file. And I am not sure if you could upload the wrong file--that's for a more technical person to answer.

Hi, Monica, I explored in the processing book list and I found it waiting for administrative approval. I then got a message from support at bookshare.org thanking me for validating it. How does it know if somebody accidentally uploads the wrong file off their computer thinking it's the book? Does it have a way of comparing data with data or text with text? Thanks for any info. It was actually fun and I enjoyed reading the book again and knowing it would be available for others to read. Have a blessed day. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Monica Willyard" <rhyami@xxxxxxxxx>

Hi, Jamie. Way to go on your first submission! (smile) You can tell if
your book uploaded correctly because you'll get a web page that thanks
you for submitting the book once it's uploaded. If you tell us which
book you've been working on, we can help you find it in the system.
Someone may already be validating it. Jill's idea about checking the
Books In Processing page is a good one. If you need any help locating
your book, just ask. Again, congratulations on your first submission,
Jamie. I'm looking forward to seeing it in the collection.
