Hi Monica, I didn't know that control-tab would work too! That is a much easier one-handed keystroke! Now, if I can just remember it next time I need it! Isn't it neat that we can do things in so many different ways for different people's preferences? Confusing when things are new, but sometimes, like now, the original questioner can choose which way they like best! So glad you told us about this way to work with two open files in K1000! Once you have your first file open, just press alt f for file and o for open and choose a file you want to open. Then use control tab to move back and forth between the two files. One of the two documents will be your scanning document, the one pages will be added to if you try to scan. You can check the status of what you have open by pressing alt h for the help menu and arrowing down to where it says reading status. Press enter there to hear what you have open and which document you're in. Hope this helps. -- Monica Willyard Visit my blog at http://www.scannersguild.com To unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line.
