Hi, Tina!
In my opinion they are still fairly light scanners, but they are probably much
taller than the typical thin Canon. Probably a little thicker than the Epsons.
It has to do with the way the bulb is mounted so it can scan to the book edge.
It will still be smaller, though, then an all-in-one printer and scanner.
I have actually like the fact that it stands up a little taller because it
makes it easier to do one page scanning and hang the book off the edge, but
it's hard to describe if you've never experienced it.
