Hi Rachel,
I'm pretty sure that the translation to brf would mangle the mathematical
symbols and non-Latin letters. But they probably would survive the
conversion to Daisy, I hope. Most synthesizers can't handle these characters
and either don't say anything or say something weird. Whenever I run across
anything in Japanese, whichfortunately doesn't happen too often, my
synthesizer crashes.
Btw, I'm a linguistics nerd too. Right now I'm taking a class in Spanish to
English translation and loving it.
