 Dear Robin;

It sounds like what you are describing is a soft page break indicating where
word thinks the page should be ending based on the number of lines and the page
size you have designated. Most of us have our default set to legal and then on
books with soft page breaks we can expand it to up to 21 inches long. On the
other hand, soft page breaks are of no issue and will not actually occur in
Bookshare format, so if you are comfortable once you know it is a soft page
break, you can just leave it as is. That is necessary sometimes when there is
multiple columns on the page, especially with indexes.

These are all great questions, and well worth asking and understanding. I hope
this helps a little.

Valerie
