HI Roger,
It hasn't changed that BTC books are ideal for new volunteers to work on.
That said, if a book has been sitting for a couple of months, please do
proofread it.
It's never a bad thing to have a new book added to the Bookshare collection!

There are different kinds of labels for new volunteers. Btc is one of them.
Hold for new vol was another. I think some of them were introduced to give
new volunteers practice and did not go into the collection once they were
proofread. I thought all of them were the same, but some discussion here in
the past informed me that the ones labeled btc do go into the collection. At
first we were told not to touch those books because they were being held for
new volunteers, but I think we are now past the glut of new volunteers that
were showing up for a while and that the btc books can now be proofed by
anyone. We need a Bookshare employee to chime in here to clarify.
