Hi Vic,

My guess is that since the "hold for" was only in the file name, and not on
the checkout page, it's fine for you to proofread the book. Either the hold
expired, or the original person who was going to proofread the book opted
not to do it for some reason. The file name still contains the "hold for"
because it was part of what the submitter called the file on his or her
computer, but Carrie (Bookshare staff) removed the "hold for" so that
someone else, like you, could proofread the book. I'd say proofread happily
away, and enjoy the book!

Mayrie

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] book not marked "hold for"

Hi All.

I need help on what to do with a book I downloaded for proofing. On the list
of books to download, there was a title: "Dragon Keeper." There was just the
title and it did not say hold for." But when I clicked download and the file
name appeared, it read,: "Hold_for_Kelly_H___The_Drago_Vicente_Llanes.rtf".
So now it has Kelly's name and my name. What do I do with this? Do I just
let it go or continue proofing the book?

Thanks

Vic
