Hi, I am adding my two cents to Carrie's. I agree , so now there are four cents. Can't win! Personally I would prefer to see [blank page] because putting that in makes it CRYSTAL CLEAR to everyone - the proofreader, the approver, the readers - that the page is blank. I imagine some readers would wonder about the pages too. My 2 cents, Carrie ________________________________ From: solsticesinger <solsticesinger@xxxxxxxxx> To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, February 3, 2009 4:24:15 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: The Pearl DiverThose pages were intentionally blank, as they separate parts of the book. I had my roommate look at the book, and she said that they are totally blank. So, should I write something like, "this page is intentionally blank"? Iwould think that might be annoying to come across when reading the book, butI can do it, if you think it's best. I've alerted Engineering about this, so hopefully they'll fix it soon. Until they fix this bug, I can't return the book for more editing. The reason I returned it is because there were 6 blank pages -numbers 35, 36, 207, 208, 235 and 236 (as I recall). The proofreader thoughtthat text was missing from the pages, but I'm thinking that there were pictures there, since the surrounding pages do not stop in mid-sentence. Ah! Here's a workaround. I'll reject your book, you fix those pages(either add the missing text or add [blank page] or add [picture removed] orwhatever), and resubmit it. Want to try that? Was there a problem with the scan?
