Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but it has me splitting at my sides. We have been working on The Practical (and Fun) Guide to Assistive Technology in Public Schools: Building or Improving Your Districts AT Team to upload it to Bookshare, and Doug caught something that I had missed. I can't hardly dictate this e-mail as hard as I laughed. My eyes, of course, saw exactly what it should have said instead of what it does say. Everyone else will probably catch it immediately. If not, I won't feel so bad having a little company. :-) Quoting: Accommodations may be listed separately from other existing supports to distinguish strategies put in place by educators that are just good teaching practices from what the IEP team has already deemed absolutely necessary for the student to receive a free and appropriate pubic education. *** I don't think the authors are advocating "free and appropriate pubic education." :-) Valerie
