Thanks, Monica.
I don't think Grayscale's a setting on Finereader. If it is, I totally missed it.

Hi Christina. Library book covers can be a bear to scan. Sometimes trying
grayscale will work on them. If you can't get a clean scan of the jacket,
you can just let Bookshare's new tool fill in the short synopsis for you
when you submit and either write a long synopsis or ask your proofreader to help you with writing one. Some book covers just can't be scanned, even when
you've got a great scanner and software.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Scanning Library Books

Hi, everyone.
I'm getting ready to submit a book I borrowed from the library. It scanned great... Except for the front and back flaps and the back cover. This book

is a hard back and it's got that shiny, plastic covering to protect the
paper jacket. I can't get these parts to scan well. Any advice?
I'm using Finereader7. Thanks.
Christina
