A $1000 is a bit but considering you get Finereader and Scansoft and for a
visually impaired person installing Kurzweil they can also use it without
another screen reader. I don't think you would find too many Kurzweil users
that would say it is not worth it:)

OmniPage costs I think $499. But it's a good program.
I was given the licensed copy of Omnipage I have by
someone who doesn't use it. I am happy to have it
because it's so much better than the program I was
using.
