If the chapter titles are wordse.g., In the Forest, By the Lake, etc., rather
than just Chapter and a number, you don't need the word chapter. It probably
isn't there in the book.
But the purpose of the junk characters, which should be the same at the
beginning of every chapter, is that they will be stripped instead of Chapter
One, etc. In other words, the consistent use of three asterisks on the line
above the words Chapter whatever will result in the asterisks being stripped.
If not, for some reason, the reader can replace them with nothing.
