Don't you have to go through the publisher liaison to submit your own ebook?

I just noticed this thread is about the book I submitted or I would have jumped in sooner. The file I submitted did have page numbers included --I wonder where jitney went?

It does only exist right now only as a kindle book because I am self-publishing this way for a time. I do have complete copyrights to the book so I didn't anticipate problems submitting my "scan", so to speak. Lol

I did use the author submission procedure, so i hope that prevents any trouble that otherwise might be caused by submitting my own book.

Please feel free to ask questions or let me know if I can do anything else to help.

Since Charisma is a volunteer she may have done it this way to have descriptions or to get submission credits toward her membership. Either way, I thought it was permissible.

Author and publisher submissions are okay, but in that case it would not appear in the checkout list. At least, it wouldn't unless it accidentally did. Carrie is now handling publisher and author submissions and they enter the collection labeled as submitted by Bookshare staff.

I don't think it has changed. If it is an ebook it needs to be rejected on that basis.

Hi all,

I'm not sure how you can guess where page numbers should be, since, as far as I can tell, this book only exists as a Kindle book without page numbers.

I'm actually not sure how the book is even on the checkout list.

We were told a long time ago that volunteers could only submit books they had scanned, and e-books were not eligible.

Has this changed?

Confused...

Ghi! No! I would ask the volunteer where the page numbers should be and or get a print book or I mean, obtain a accessible copy and add them where they are supposed to be. I would not play guessing games, please? That might mess up the situation for the bookshare members especially students like me who don't want to play guessing games where my classmates are becaUse my page numbers are wrong. U know? So yeah. Thanks!

    I can do that.

I would say add them in and let the volunteer know so he/she
can put them in next time.

    Hi everybody,

I do not want to reject this book, especially since it is from
one of our great volunteers, and it looks so interesting, but
this book does not appear to have page numbers.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Lisa
