I live in the Atlanta area...since I have a sighted husband, I don't
usually have to use mass transit or cabs. I have been told of numerous
circumstances where cabs, most driven by what sound to be people whose
first language is not English, trying not to have dogs in the cabs
citing everything from it's against the law to allergies to religion. I
do not think that many cab companies are specifically training their
employees the laws involving dog guide usage.
I can just see one of those cabbies now...who fights against a dog and
person entering their cab if they are confronted with a miniature guide
horse and its owner...smile
