Dave,

I have no problem considering it part of the rest of the books. Since it's
probably going to be the only prequel, I just think of it as book 0.

Hi Gerald,

Yes I knew they labeled it as a prequel, but I
think that's because they painted themselves into
a corner by identifying 'The Eye Of The World' as
book 1 before going in the other direction ever occurred to Jordan.
I think Terry Brooks did much the same with his
Shannara series, only he broke them down in to
trilogies keeping the Shannara label.
This is of course only a personal opinion, but I
would think any book containing characters from
another, with the overall plot or concept being
inline with the others, should be considered a part of the whole.
In support of my perspective I submit an excerpt
from the copyright passage for 'New Spring.'

"The Wheel of TimeT" and "The Dragon RebornT," and the
snake-wheel symbol, are trademarks of Robert Jordan.
