Actually, I think I will be able to do it. I just looked at my menus and there was an option for importing. I followed the process for a bit and it looks just like what I want. It's still too close to bedtime to bother with it right now though. I would have to hook the drive up to my computer again and it is a little harder than just plugging in a thumb drive.

I think I saw something in my current email program about importing from another computer. I suppose the old hard drive counts as another computer. Tomorrow I will look into that. It's getting a bit late to start something that might turn out to be a major operation right now though.

Hi Roger,

I only know generally what your problem is. Your e-mails are stored in a
pst file. I think that this file needs to be imported into your current
e-mail program. How to do that, I don't know. Sorry if that's not
sufficiently helpful, but it's a start.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Got into my old hard drive.

I managed to get into my old hard drive this evening. Thank you again Mike for the hard drive enclosure. It arrived today. I was able to recover the
book I was working on. At least I think I recovered it. As of yet I am
unable to open it. I will be working on getting Open Book 9 and I hope I
will be able to open it then. I don't seem to be able to find my emails
though. After poking around for some time I did find what seems to be a
folder labeled with the same label name I used in Outlook Express where they
should be, but I am unable to open that either. When I try it mentions
something about being a backup folder and wants me to check on line for a program that will open it. I am not sure that it is even the folder I want because it is called a backup folder. I thought I would be able to just open it and read my stored emails. I expected not to be able to read the scanned books I had because they are all in ark format and I suppose I will need a working copy of Open Book to read those, but I don't know what the problem
with the emails might be. Does anyone have any ideas?
