I was able to use spelling check in the current free version. Did you try a while age?

The free version of Jarte does not allow spellcheck. I got a popup box recommending me to the paid version of Jarte in order to use that function. That popup ended my 60 seconds of experimentation with Jarte!I tried Jarte, but I was unable to get the spellcheck to work. I'm using Jaws. What are you using, Mike? Did you do anything special to get spellcheck? Tracy I have picked up the book to proofread it. From just first glance, it looks pretty good. It doesn't look like it should take very long to do. I will see if I like it as well as you did. -- Doug -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>] On Behalf Of Mike Sent: Thursday, April 01, 2010 11:13 PM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Earthworks and Jarte At last I have submitted Earthworks, the book I used as a test on using Jarte for bookshare. So far, at least the submission tools accepted it and they counted the correct number of page breaks. I chose it only because it was the first relatively short book (128 pages) that I came across and I thought I could do it in less than a week. Well, I did, I finished the spelling check late on last Sunday night. But I was practically nodding off at the computer so I thought I'd just pop it in on Monday. But, then one of my cats got sick and between cleaning up after he throws up, taking him to the vet, etc, etc, etc. Then, having problems at work, then I don't know what all else, now it is Thursday, but I did finally get it in. I would like someone to check it out to find out if there are any "gotchas" as a result of using Jarte. I should have picked a book that was more attention grabbing so it would be easy to attract someone to proof it. I didn't read through the whole book, but what I did read I found to be what I consider typical of other books by Brian Aldiss: some parts are truly fascinating, others are really depressing. I have to say, I don't think I've seen another book that so directly tackles the problem that if we overpopulate the earth to the extent that too many people really is the root of all our problems, there are absolutely no morally righteous solutions. Yet, if I want my children (or anyone's children) to have a better life, one of those repugnant solutions is the only solution possible. So now that I have given that description of the book, no one will ever proof it. Ah well, I wish using Jarte had been more successful, too.
