I have discovered that if you listen carefully to the book, you can reunite the text. I started that today. I would probably not know quite how if any spread over to another page. Not sure I've had to deal with that yet. Cindy Lou Ray. Each day is a new adventure. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Paula and James Muysenberg" <outofsightlife@xxxxxxxxx> To: "Bkvol" <bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, March 27, 2008 2:45 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Dealing with Sidebars Thanks, Mayrie. Based on my own failures at scanning books with sidebars, I wonder if the book would come out any better, even if the submitter rescans it. When I was on this list a couple of years ago, someone posted some tips for scanning books with sidebars, which I tried to follow. I still ended up with sidebars being split up and scattered on the page. I'm hoping that I can find a print copy of this book, and that the task of fixing the sidebars will turn out to be less overwhelming than I originally thought. I may as well get used to fixing them, since I mostly scan nonfiction, and am likely to keep running into them. G!
