I agree with you, Emily. *smile*
After the numerous argumentative posts on this list, lately, I've been
considering unsubscribing and reevaluating whether or not I want to continue
to be a Bookshare volunteer.
I don't appreciate it when my In Box is clutter with argumentative messages
that, in my opinion, have no place on this list. If people want to argue or
debate a topic with one another, they should contact one another off list.

There is no need for anyone to be defensive. I'm sure everyone has a lot of
interesting things in their life which they would like to share with others,
but as has been pointed out, there are so many other (more appropriate)
venues online for doing so. It's not that off-topic discussion isn't
appreciated, but there is simply too much of it in a list with what is
supposed to be a very specific focus.
