Hi all,
Shorebirds are really starting to wind down, but theres still a few
birds passing though. Species today included:
3 Semipalmated Plover
85+ Killdeer
1 Spotted Sandpiper
2 Solitary Sandpiper
2 Lesser Yellowlegs
3 Semipalmated Sandpiper
1 Least Sandpiper
10 Pectoral Sandpiper
1 Buff-breasted Sandpiper
1 Wilson's Snipe
There was a pair of Sora on one of the ponds with cattails, which is
the first time I have had any sort of rail in this area. 1 of the
birds had an injured leg. I also had a pretty good day for migrant
songbirds considering it was around noon with on and off downpours.
Heres the complete eBird checklist, the Yellow-rumped Warblers are my
first this fall.
