I'm holding off to see what Zen2 brings this year. Rumors are that they'll
be pretty good, but we'll see what happens. If it's not a big difference,
I'll probably go classifieds and low-ball someone in need of cash like I've
done in the past and save a grundle of $. I won't be upgrading until Fall,
after Intel has had time to reply to AMD.
I don't have much faith in AMD GPUs, though. I was hardcore Team Red when
they could compete. My last AMD cards were 2 290x's then I went 980ti and
haven't looked back, sadly.
Their new GPU isn't expected to be super awesome at games, it's more
oriented towards machine learning, etc. Rumors have that it'll be in short
supply, too.

Just like GPU’s if you’re not jumping up a couple of tiers probably not
worth it. If you’re not in the top 5 tiers, it’s time to upgrade.

I can honestly say I haven't been excited about Radeon in a LONG time but
I am definitely interested to hear what the performance is like. It's going
to drop Feb 7th and priced at $699.00. If it clocks equal to the 2080
that's not a great deal but if I clocks close to the 2080 Ti then it's a
