I have the 2700x I built for my wife but she uses it for photoshop and it
works really well. I did have some issues with it before updating the bios
though. Idle with a water cooler is about 41 C and it can go to 57 pretty
fast without doing much. I personally would rather have intel since I game
and from what I have read intel has the best gaming processors.
