Benson, AZ 85602
hm ph: 520-586-2244 Not bad for "abysmal" seeing , Tom! It's been mostly
overcast and humid here the past week or so. We're starting to get some rain,
but no major monsoons yet.
Clear skies,

Here is my first attempt at doing a mosaic of images of the moon. Since the
seeing this morning was abysmal, they are taken at prime focus of an 8-inch f/8
with no Barlow lens. Image scale is 0.71 arcsec/pixel, resulting in a moon
that is 2750 pixels tall. Each of the eight images in the mosaic is a stack of
the best several hundred frames. The mosaic is meant to be scrolled, so if
your browser 'autosizes' images to fit to the screen, turn that feature off.

The most prominent craters along the terminator, from north to south, are
Posidonius, Theophilus, Piccolomini, and Pitiscus.
