My wife and I stayed at Star Hill Inn in September 1996, just two months prior to our move from Wisconsin to Arizona. Despite three of four nights being rained out, I thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Our cabin was clean, comfortable and rustic in the best sense of the word. We visited Santa Fe, hiked, and just enjoyed the piece and quiet of the area, during the day. At night, I literally could not see my hand in front of my face with low, dark, rain clouds covering the sky. Of course, when the clouds departed my hand was quite easily seen. And the observing was quite good. If you visit and if the log book in the library goes back that far, look for my entry from mid-September 1996.
