Copying from Ken's message this one is about observing Friday night at Sun Valley Parkway. Note that the To e-mail list hasn't responded since yesterday evening. The original message follows, read on for Friday night. aj -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Friday observing run to Sun Valley Date: Tue, 08 May 2001 20:17:58 -0700 From: AJ Crayon <acrayon@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: SAC MAIL LIST <SAC-Announce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> OK, OK! I'm anxious to use my telescope and am planning on a short trip this Friday night at our close in spot just off Sun Valley Parkway. Sunset is about 7:20pm and moon rise is about 11:30pm so this should give a few good hours of observing under skies darker than my backyard (now you've got the picture!). Sun Valley Parkway is west of the White Tank Mountains. To get there go west on Bell Road, past Grand Ave and through Surprise. After leaving Surprise the road will meander some but eventually turn south. Continue to mile marker 118.1 and turn right (west) down a wide, well graded dirt road for about 1 or 1.5 miles. Then take a left for several hundred feet and you are there. Don't go down in the river bottom! Any and all interested parties are invited. aj --- This message is from the AZ-Observing mailing list.
