My husband and I were heading home with the kids and saw it. We were on Alma School Rd. between Guadalupe and Elliot. I thought that someone had lit a firecracker that didn't explode properly because of the greenish color. But my husband said no, it was a meteor. We have never seen one so bright before, especially when you consider all the light pollution in town. It sparked quite a lively conversation with our girls on the way home.
