Hello,
I've just installed the new version over the old one, unfortunately, I have
a problem, Audacity starts but there is lots of noise, [mainly white noise
but not consistent], the only way I can get rid of it is to go into
Prefferences/devices and tab through the various selections, they are still
all correctly set as before, but I need to go to OK and press it, after that
the noise stops, by the way I'm using MME as host.
I'm using Windows seven home premium 64 bit and I have two soundcards, a
Realtek and a Soundblaster, the settings on these are the same as before I
did the new install.
If I close Audacity with the noise still present, it remains, also, if I
close and reboot the computer, the noise is still there after re-booting
even before starting Audacity again, so it's obviously a soundcard problem,
but it worked perfectly before the installation, I am thinking of
uninstalling and doing a fresh install, before I do, any comments please?
Thanks a lot.

Best Regards, Jim.
