Oliver,
Email me off list, and I may be able to develop something for you late this year or early next year.

Hi folks,

I didn't whant to spend too much money on a hardware device, but thought, that
there might be a little software tool, wich enables me to read out the amount
of input of any connected device, wich is attached to my computer.
I found one for the mac, but none for pc. does any body of you know of such a
tool?

thank you in advance,

ciao,

Monte again. If you are really creative, and want to save a lot of
money: Remove the electronics from a metal detector, disconect the
coil at the bottom and atach a plug, jack, I would use in TRS jack if
you can. Metal detectors use electronics that measure changes in
voltage, therefore atached to any output should give a very acceptable
result, with an audible tone that changes acordingly

I can't imagine tha little piece of gear isn't cheap. I you want a
reasonably priced meter that is audible, let me know. They come in a
rack moddle, or a freestanding one. Cheers Monte

Hi!
There is a hardware component called Sztudio Guard, which converts the
visual UV meter output into Braille and speech. It was developed for
professional broadcasting. However, there is a Braille only version
called
Studio Guard Nano meant for home studios. You can find it on Facebook
here.
