Hi all. Thanks to Jean and Robbie for their help. I am trying to join 2 Audacity files. (*.aup) That is the format. With both files open in separate windows so you can move between the two: Hilight the 2nd track Cont A, copy to clipboard Cont C, Alt Tab to the 1st track, K to get to end of that track, then Cont v to paste. The sound in the Track is then slightly distorted, and the Tracks have not joined properly. The track I tried to add plays for about 20 seconds then stops. I have been doing this successfully up until recently, and have no idea what to do next. The Tracks are about an hour each in length, I have tried mix and render to no evail. Please can someone advise? First import both files to Audacity. That's import, not open. The key command is ctrl-shift-i. Each file will be in its own track. Press cursor up or down, depending on the order of import, to move to the first half and Select it by pressing enter, then press k to move the cursor to the end. Unselect that track by pressing enter again and press cursor up or down to move to the other track. Press enter to select this track and then press alt-t a c to align the second half with the end of the first. Now press alt-f e to export your project. Note that you can choose the target format in the Export dialogue as well as set the compression rate by clicking on Optionds, also in the Export dialogue. I have 2 files, halfs of a football game, that I want to join together. I highlight one (control a0) Copy to clipboard then Control v to move to the end of the other track. Sometimes I get a message about awphan files/displaced, and options to choose to sort this. I am confused as to how I perform this task. Any clues? Ron
