Hi Maria!
Import the files in question by pressing ctrl-shift-i. (This is for
Windows.) Alternatively select the File menu >> Import >> Audio.
The files will be inserted into individual tracks. Make sure the tracks are
in the right order. If they're not, use the context menu to rearrange them.
The simplest way of getting them to play one after the other is to select
all and then select Align End to End from the Tracks menu.
If you would like them to overlap, you need to align them individually.
Select only the first track, go to the end by pressing k and then press
cursor left. Press space to hear if the overlapping bit is long enough for
you and if not, press cursor left again.
Unselect the first track, select the second trak and then select Align Start
to Cursor/Selection Start from the Tracks menu. Repeat procedure.
Finally, select all and then select Export Selected Audio from the File
menu.

can anyone tell me how to join files together using audacity? I am using a
mac, but if you only have the windows commands, I should be able to figure
it.
