Mark, you have to set the input and output in audacity. Set the input to
line-in audio codek and output to your sound card.

Turntable
Hi Mark,
Here is the link for the Jaws script.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xe7yx5cbtijkzfy/Jaws-Script-for-Audacity_2_2_2-bet
a-2020-03-02.exe?dl=1
Not sure if it will solve your problem but it has some good features.
What I have done when I 1st used Audacity was:
1. Press ctrl+p for preferences.
2. Press "d" for devices.
3. Tab twice to"playback grouping"
4. Move the cursor up & down until you hear the audio from the
speakers.
Regards
NPTE: I tried it today & found I only get onlya quick bit of output.
I had to tab out & back into the field to hear it.
It's not as hard as it sounds though.
Hope this is helpful.
Regards
Adrian

Subject: [audacity4blind] JAWS, Audacity And Audio Technical LP120 Turntable
Hi
I am new to the list and Audacity and understand many of you are using
Audacity to create amazing stuff based on the few posts I've seen.
At this stage, all I want to do is record my old vinyl records so apologies
for simple questions.
My first challenge is that when I plug in the turntable to my windows 10 PC,
I lose JAWS speech. Not helpful when I'm trying to use Audacity. Any tips
would be helpful.
Also, I have noted in the archives that someone had written scripts at some
stage. Are these still available and if so from where and what is the cost?
Cheers
Mark
