Hello,
I am not a programmer so my question might be slightly naive, however,
I wonder if your changes to the wxWidgets wil also improve Linux's
release of Audacity in any way?
Appreciate your feedback.

Hi Thomas,
I'm the original author of the Mac accessibility for Audacity. I'd taken a
bit of a break from Audacity and have recently returned. One of my new
goals is to completely redo the wxWidgets accessibility and actually submit
the changes to the wxWidgets folks this time around with the hope that it
becomes an integral part of wxWidgets. That way we wouldn't have to
maintain it ourselves (though I'm sure we'd still be involved).
The plan flopping around inside my head is to base the new support on the
IAccessible2 API. That would put us a step above the existing
IAccessible-like API and it would maintain compatibility for other wxWidgets
based projects that are utilizing the existing API.
I don't have a timeline for you, but I'm sure David will keep me moving
forward on it. 😊

Hi David!
This release looks very interesting.
Are there any news for us on Mac OS?
I believe once there was another developer on this list asking
specifically for
the Mac users, but haven't seen anything regarding accessibility changes.
Perhaps you may know if there are plans for making Audacity more
accessible
on the Mac?
Best regards Thomas
