I'm currently having to work though a large number of PDF files, each of
which is composed of a series of one-per-page scans of documents.
Some of these give mixed results with different 'rendering' programs. In
particular, some look poor because they have a '100% page size' which
doesn't show results anything like as clearly if I export the bitmaps and
show them at 90dpi as individual bitmaps. I also in some cases want to OCR
parts, or work on the images.
ArtWorks (often) lets me export a bitmap. But so far I've only been able to
do this by moving to each page, selecting the 'object', and exporting it.
Is there a way to automate this so I can give AW a multipage pdf and ask it
to export all the enclosed bitmaps on a range of pages? It would make life
a *lot* easier?
Also: In a couple of cases AW refuses to render a PDF saying something like
the file can't be edited. Yet an old version of Ghostscript renders them.
Alas, I can't then work out how to export the bitmaps at the 'original'
size. But this is a seperate issue to the above.
