As a complete outsider, he appeared to create a fairly high profile for the
company in a fairly crowded field. That often helps in attracting interest
(investment, customers, employees).
I can’t speak for any other of his qualities, and it’s possible even this
profile was more the work of a marketing team than him individually (although
it didn’t feel like that).
