Very likely. If some module or other errors, the error may be passed
to the application that is currently paged in. Even when apps are
'doing nothing' they will be paged in periodically when they poll the
wimp. If an OS error occurs when it is paged in, it receives the
error, and if the error is flagged as fatal - so long app.
