I think perhaps the solution is a !SOmerge like !SysMerge, and maybe that
could do the necessary housekeeping to avoid such problems?
A further thought on this might be to investigate a greater level of
integration between Installer module (which BootMerge and other tools use)
and PackMan itself. If both are aware of each other (and perhaps
specifically of shared libraries), then an elegant solution can be
reached.
