I think I have written a CD using !CDVDBurn version 2.09s

This is very interesting, I am using the same version of !CDVDBurn but
when I try to write an image to a CD, after a few seconds I get the
error message "SCSI Device is not responding. Check that it is
switched on.".
The CD/DVD writer is "CDDVDW SH-224FB" by TSSTcorp. I have not
modified Steffen's application, in particular I have not changed the
"Driver".
It would be most helpful if you could confirm that you have written a
CD and whether your hardware and software are like mine.

Have just burnt a CD on my ARMX6 - works fine. The CD drive is a
Pioneer DVD-RW DVRTD11RS connected via its SATA socket on the back of
the drive and a SATA to USB connector.
Some advice from Steffen was:
CDBurn Lite will definitely not work. CDVDBurn 2.00 contains non-ARMv7
code, but might work if configured correctly: edit a few lines in
!CDVDBurn.settings:
scanAcorn=no
scanSimtec=no
scanAPDL=no
scanSCSI=yes
scanCDFS=yes
scanRapIDE=no
scanIyonix=no
scanIyonixADFS=no
This configures CDVDBurn so that only SCSI (i.e. USB) and CDFS drives
are examined. If you only want to create an ISO image, you can set
all scan configs to "no".
I recommend you update your CDVDBurn version to 2.02b, which is much
better tested.

There is currently no driver for S-ATA CD/DVD/Blu-Ray drives. R-Comp
stopped when harddiscs worked, not sure if CJE will provide a full
S-ATA solution.
I had to make some adjustments to CDVDBurn so that it works with some
USB-connected (and it does not matter if plain USB drives or via
USB-SATA-bridge) drives. This test version is available to registered
CDVDBurn customers. If you send me your CDVDBurn registration details,
I can provide the test version to you.
